Utorrent wont add a new torrent to download

Regardless of which method I use to open a torrent file, uTorrent fails to even open telling me the torrent is already in the list and asking if I wish to load the trackers from it. They both read 'Error: Can't open .torrent file: ' in the Status Today I am unable to add a new torrent to the list.
